History
Hansen Dx (formerly Hansen Veterinary Diagnostics) was established in 1980 as a specialty veterinary reference lab offering immunology and virology serological tests to other reference labs and veterinary clinics. In 1982 we expanded the business to include in-vitro diagnostic tests (ELISA and IFA). Since our inception, we have focused on serological tests for dogs and cats and continue to do so to the present day.
Hansen Dx has led the way in the development of new and important diagnostic tests. Hansen Dx was the first lab in the world to offer feline AIDS diagnostic tests (IFA) which is still considered by many to be the most specific test available. Hansen was also the first lab in the world to offer an ELISA test for feline leukemia virus antigen.
